Using the Sphero Edu AI Assistant
The Sphero Edu AI Assistant is an integrated tool in the Sphero Edu programming canvases designed to help with coding. It provides insights into your code and robot interactions in a clear, structured way.

The AI Assistant features include:
- Explain My Program - explains how your program works with various levels of analysis. This is a good way to quickly get an idea of what a shared program does or see if your program behaves the way you expect it should.
- Code Review - checks your code for syntax errors and common programming missteps. It will offer suggestions to fix or optimize your block and text code. This is useful if your program is not working as expected, or if you are trying to find a better way to organize your code.
- Advanced Block Help - comprehensively details how a specific block works. Includes specific and relevant information for your currently connected robot.
User Data and Privacy:
The AI Assistant is designed with privacy and safety in mind:

It does not collect personally identifiable information in the prompts
- It does not allow freeform prompts
- Uses pre-written prompts and includes the program code and connected robot type only

Processes data through a custom Sphero-focused knowledge base; user data is not used to train the AI
- Prompts and responses are run through a content filter to ensure all returned content is safe for users
Accuracy:
The AI Assistant is trained on a custom Sphero knowledge base. This knowledge base contains knowledge of Sphero programming blocks, functions, and compatible hardware. However, the AI can still be wrong and make mistakes, so judgement is advised.
