SPRK+ Connection Troubleshooting
If your SPRK+ isn’t connecting to your device, try the following steps:
1. Check the Battery
-
Your robot’s battery may be low.
-
Place SPRK+ on the charging cradle, making sure it is level with the heavy side down.
-
The blue charger light should blink to indicate charging.
-
SPRK+ is fully charged after about 3 hours, or once the blue light turns solid.
2. Check for Deep-Sleep Mode
-
SPRK+ may be in deep-sleep mode.
-
Place SPRK+ in the charging cradle and wait for it to cycle through the rainbow-colored sequence.
-
Remove SPRK+ from the cradle and pair it with your mobile device by opening the Sphero Edu app and holding your device close to SPRK+.
3. Verify Device Compatibility
-
Ensure your mobile device supports Bluetooth Smart (Bluetooth 4.0).
-
Some devices, such as iPad 2 and certain Android 4.4+ devices, do not support Bluetooth Smart and may be unable to connect, even if the Sphero Edu app installs successfully.
