SPRK+ Battery and Charging Guide

Battery Life

SPRK+’s battery provides up to 60 minutes of continuous play on a full charge. Keep in mind that battery performance naturally decreases over time, so older SPRK+ units may have shorter play sessions than new ones.

Charging SPRK+

If SPRK+ loses energy or turns off shortly after connecting, follow these steps:

  1. Position SPRK+ Correctly

    • Place SPRK+ in the charging cradle with the heavy side down.

    • To find the heavy side, place SPRK+ on a hard surface (like a table); he will naturally settle with this side at the bottom.

  2. Check Charging Indicator

    • The charger will blink blue when charging begins.

    • When charging is complete, the light will turn solid.

  3. Try a Different Power Source

    • If SPRK+ still loses energy, plug the charger into another outlet or power source and repeat the steps above.

  4. Charger Compatibility

    • The SPRK+ charger is specifically designed for SPRK+ only.

    • Do not charge SPRK+ in other Sphero charging bases such as SPRK Edition or Sphero 2.0.

Battery Aging

Over time and with regular use, SPRK+’s battery will gradually hold less charge. This is normal and expected. Older units may not reach the full 60-minute playtime of a new SPRK+.
