Battery and Charging

How do I know when Sphero mini is low on battery?

  • Sphero mini pulses red when the battery is low.

  • If the battery is critically low, the Sphero mini app will show a low battery warning.

  • You can also check battery level in the app at any time; the indicator is at the top of the drive screen.

How do I charge my Sphero mini?

  • Open the shell by squeezing the edges.

  • Connect the included micro USB cable.

  • Leave the robot to charge.

How long does it take to charge?

  • About one hour.

How much playtime does a full charge provide?

  • Approximately 45 minutes of playtime.

Reset and Usage

How do I reset Sphero mini?

  • Plug mini into a power source, wait a few seconds, then unplug it.

Will Sphero mini drive without its shell?

  • No. mini needs its shell to drive, as the wheels push against the inside of the shell. Keep track of shell halves when charging.

Is Sphero mini waterproof?

  • No, mini is not waterproof with or without its shell.

What is Sphero mini's Bluetooth range?

  • 10 meters.

Can I drive multiple Sphero minis at once?

  • No. Only one mini can be controlled at a time using Sphero Play or Sphero EDU apps.

How do I change the LED color?

  • Open the Sphero Play app and tap the gear icon in the top-right.

  • Slide your finger along the color bar to select the desired color.

  • Use the brightness bar below to adjust brightness.

  • LEDs can be changed at any time using this method.

How do I clean Sphero mini?

  • Remove the robot from the shell.

  • Do not use water or liquids.

  • Wipe with a soft, clean cloth to remove dust and dirt.
