How many Specdrums can connect at once?

The number of Specdrums rings that can connect at the same time depends on the device you’re using. Different phones and tablets have limits for how many Bluetooth devices can be connected simultaneously. For example, the iPhone X can maintain up to 6 Bluetooth connections at once.

How many colors can Specdrums recognize?

Specdrums can reliably differentiate a maximum of about 12 distinct colors at once (such as the 12 colors provided on the play pad). When calibrating, if a new color is too similar in hue and saturation to an existing one, the previous color will be disabled to prevent misreads. You can calibrate your Specdrums ring to almost any colored surface. For best results, use bright, saturated colors.

What objects can be played with Specdrums?

Specdrums can be played on anything. You can use the app's default twelve colors to play on the Specdrums Keyboard, which comes in each package, or you can reassign sounds to any other colors you choose.

Are Specdrums waterproof?

No, Specdrums rings are not waterproof.

What is the battery life of Specdrums?

On a full charge, Specdrums rings provide about 2 hours of heavy use.

Specdrums MIX "Share" Feature

After creating a song in the Specdrums MIX app, you have the option to Share it. For privacy reasons, users under the age of 13 will not see the Share feature available.
