Which apps does the Specdrums EDU 12 Pack work with?

The 12 Pack works with the Specdrums MIX app (available on iOS and Android) and the Specdrums EDU app (available on iOS only).

What comes with the Specdrums EDU 12 Pack?

Does it come with a charging hub?

No, the EDU 12 Pack does not include the 6-port charging hub.

Are the rings different from individually purchased Specdrums?

Yes. Rings in the EDU 12 Pack are individually numbered to make pairing easier.

Can I buy a numbered replacement ring?

No. Replacement rings are blank. Numbered rings are only available in the EDU 12 Pack.

Are Specdrums waterproof?

No. Specdrums are not waterproof because the micro USB port is exposed. You can clean them with a damp cloth if needed.

How do I connect my rings?

1. Plug in your ring to wake it up

2. Open the Specdrums EDU app

3. Navigate to the ring connection screen

4. Connect to your ring’s ID (found on the included Ring ID sheet)

5. Unplug your ring before use

You can also connect via Bluetooth MIDI to other music software on mobile devices, laptops, or computers. Before using MIDI, update your firmware in the Specdrums MIX or Specdrums EDU app.

Can I replace the battery in my Specdrums?

No. The battery is built-in and cannot be replaced.

How do I charge my rings?

Use the included micro USB cables (or any micro USB charger).

How long does charging take?

About 1 hour.

How long does a charge last?

Up to 2 hours of play on a full charge.

How can I prolong battery life?

Avoid leaving rings on the charger after they’re fully charged. Remove them once full, and recharge only when needed.
