RVR and RVR+ Firmware Update – Fall 2022
Starting in Fall 2022, a new firmware version is available for RVR and RVR+. This update includes:

Nordic SoC: version 9.1.462
-
ST SoC: version 9.2.482

The firmware update works for both RVR and RVR+.
How to Update Your Firmware
To update your RVR/RVR+ firmware, you will need:

Your Sphero RVR/RVR+.

A supported iOS or Android device with the latest version of Sphero Edu installed (Android users need version 6.4.0 or newer).

Ensure your RVR/RVR+ is charged and powered on.
Update Steps:

Open the Sphero Edu app on your supported device.

Connect to your RVR/RVR+.

The firmware update will automatically start. This process may take 3–7 minutes depending on your device.

To confirm the update, click the "connect" button and check the firmware numbers. You should see 9.1.462 and 9.2.482.
