littleBits Fuse and Classroom IT Guide for Schools

Fuse is a web app for advanced programmatic use of the littleBits ecosystem. You can use it with or without a Fuse account. Its companion site, littleBits Classroom, offers additional features such as class management, rostering, activity assignments, and cloud storage for programs and activity progress.

To use these features effectively in schools, certain URLs and services must be allowed on your network. Blocking these may prevent key functionality.

Some activities include YouTube videos. To access official videos in activities, allow these channels:

Email Allowlist

If accounts are created with email and password, activation emails may be blocked by spam filters. Allow emails from:

• support@sphero.com

General Network Requirements

• Ports 80 and 443 must be open to allow web traffic

• Chrome browser version 81 or later

• Computer with Bluetooth capability and one of the following OS versions:

  • Chromebook OS 81 or later

  • Android 9 or later

  • Windows 10 (version 1706) or later

  • Mac OS 10.13 (High Sierra) or later

Fuse is not fully compatible with the mobile version of Chrome. While you may build circuits on a tablet’s browser, communication with the codeBit is not available.
