Condensation Inside BOLT+
It’s normal for condensation (water droplets) to occasionally form inside your Sphero BOLT+. This can happen:
-
During the second half of the charging cycle
-
During heavy use when the robot heats up
Why Condensation Happens
Condensation forms when the heat generated by the motors inside the robot meets a cooler external environment. The temperature difference causes natural humidity trapped inside to condense into water droplets.
Is This a Problem?
-
Condensation inside BOLT+ does not pose any safety risk.
-
It does not affect performance based on extensive testing.
-
In rare cases, wheel slippage may occur if moisture contacts the wheels, but this is minimal.
When Will It Go Away?
The condensation disappears once the temperature inside and outside the robot equalizes. No action is needed.
