BOLT Power Pack: Setup, Usage, and Safety
The BOLT Power Pack stores, charges, and carries up to 15 Sphero BOLT robots. Follow these guidelines for proper use, storage, and safety.
Getting Started

Place robots on the charging cradles.

Plug in the Power Pack and turn on the power switch.

Green light: Power is on

Blinking blue cradle lights: Robots are charging

Do not move the Power Pack or cradles while charging to maintain a strong connection.

Charging time for a fully depleted BOLT robot: 6 hours. Blue lights turn solid when fully charged.
Connecting to Sphero Edu

Remove BOLT from the cradle to view battery level and robot name on the LED matrix.

Connect to the Sphero Edu app.

If connection fails, place BOLT back in the cradle, press the button on the side, wait for the animation to finish, and try again.
Storing Robots

Charge robots to ~50% if storing for a few weeks.

Turn robots off by holding the cradle button while removing BOLT, or via the Sphero Edu app.

Toggle the Power Pack off and unplug it.

Store at room temperature.

After long-term storage, plug in and recharge robots as needed.
Cooling and Overheating

If robots stop charging, the Power Pack green light turns red and blue cradle lights turn off.

Open the lid and let the Power Pack cool; fans will continue running.

Once cooled, lights return to normal and charging resumes.

To prevent overheating, place the Power Pack in a cool room and keep the lid open while charging.
Safety Guidelines

Do not charge non-BOLT robots or use non-BOLT cradles.

Do not touch robots if the Power Pack is overheated.

Do not cover air vents.

Do not submerge or spray water on the Power Pack.

Do not disassemble the Power Pack.

Do not use a damaged power supply.
-
Do not use an extension cord; ensure the power cord is safe and secure.
